Amorphous & Nanocrystalline Ribbons
are produced by rapid solidification technology.
Ribbons are used in making transformer coils and are highly efficient in transmitting power with minimum losses due to reduced Eddy current and the ease of magnetisation and demagnetisation. Typically, core losses of transformers using these ribbons reduce by 70% when compared to its traditional counterpart.
Transformer Core materials made up of amorphous or nanocrystalline materials are major manufacturing components. They are highly energy efficient and widely used in India and China. By reducing core losses, significant amounts of CO2 emissions can be achieved. Ready made cores for transformers, inductors and reactors are also available. |
